Keeping the Church open

Following Monk Week and Open Churches Week this year, we plan to keep the church open all day on Wednesdays.

The Church office is already staffed from 10am - 1pm , it is then hoped to keep the Church open to the public until the evening.

Who will we reach out to? Passers-by, workers on lunch breaks, people leaving off work, historians, those who love beautiful architecture, school children, families as well as individuals who want to find a place of peace and quiet and if they need, someone they can talk to. There is always the possibility of attracting more, and with longer ‘opening hours' on a Wednesday we can touch the lives of many, many people.

Outreach can be as simple as sitting in church and saying ‘hello' to those who come in and where requested, training will be given.

Eastbourne Worship

Conference 14 - 16 Nov. 2008
