The Alpha
Course
Starting February 4th
2009!
An opportunity to explore
the meaning of life
Warm yourself up this winter with a
series of evenings designed to get the grey matter stimulated. Our
Alpha evenings at St Peter’s Church Hall start with a three course
meal (including wine).
The Alpha course is designed primarily for people who
aren't churchgoers.
People come along for a variety of reasons: to investigate
whether God exists; concerns about what happens after death;
particular questions that they would like to discuss; to understand
other people’s beliefs or to explore the purpose of life. You may
never have been to church, or you may have attended church
occasionally but feel that you have never really understood the
basics of the Christian faith.
The Alpha course has been running
since 1975 and so far over 11 million people worldwide have
attended. What the
Alpha evenings offer is permission to discuss the big
questions. What
distinguishes Alpha from other initiatives is the easy going,
relaxed feel of the proceedings – that and the astonishing
success. Many claim
that Alpha has changed their lives and appear genuinely happier for
the experience.
Don’t miss this opportunity to discuss life,
the universe and everything!
We do not charge for attendance, however a box will
be placed for a donation towards costs.
