Children's Groups
Lighthouse 'Lighthouse' is the name given to the children's work within St. Peters. We provide activities for children aged 4 to 13 during the 10.45 service. Lighthouse runs on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Sunday of each month in term time. We have rearranged the groups so now we will run one group to match school years reception to year 4 and a second group to match year 5 to 8. Parents with preschool children are welcome to join in with the younger group but will need to stay to support their child. Lighthouse is always on the lookout for helpers and whether you are willing to be involved regularly or occasionally in an emergency please speak to Marion Gray or any Lighthouse leader. St Peter and St.Mary's Pre-school A pre-school for 2-5 year olds. Open Monday-Friday mornings 9:15am - 11.45am Toddler group Monday 1pm - 2:30pm OFSTED inspected and offering early care and education. In St. Mary's Community Centre, Silverdale Avenue. Little Fishes Mums & Tots Group For parents with babies and pre-school children. We meet together to sing and tell stories followed by a drink and biscuit and the chance to play. 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month during term time: In St. Peter's Hall 13+ Young people aged from 13 upwards meet on the first Sunday evenings of each month 7-9pm. We spend our meetings chatting, playing games, listening to music, eating lots of sweets and learning more about God and what it means to be a Christian in today's world. We also regularly take part in the 10.45 Sunday morning services. |
